Who said life was fair? No such thing, but that’s what makes life interesting! My husband and I have had 3 boys. The oldest was born in 1998 and at the time, we thought was a perfectly healthy boy. Three days prior to his six month birthday, he developed a hight fever (105+). We contacted our local ER and they said he was probably teething and to just give him Tylenol and try to get his fever down. If his fever did not EVER go down or continued to rise to bring him in. We did as was instructed and his fever did come and go – just as it would if he was teething. In the morning, we noticed that he had a strange marble look to his body and took him to our local doctor and the ER. They immediately air flighted him to a nearby Children’s Hospital where after a strong fight he passed away on his 6 month birthday. Four years later, God gave us twin boys. These boys have been an adventure in themselves. They are completely opposite in everything. Opposite personalities – One has brown hair & one blonde – One is 2 inches taller and 5 pounds heavier and so on! Besides all their personality differences the one thing they do have in common is they both have some kind of ‘so called’ problems. The oldest has Cerebral Palsy and the youngest has been diagnosed with epilepsy (internal seizures) and is EXTREMELY hyperactive, compulsive and has major mood swings. We know 1 week in advance to meterologists’ forcast of upcoming weather fronts, tornadoes, hurricanes etc…..Just look at his eyes and you can start counting the days! My husband and I have been in the ministry for over 20 years and have never encountered children like mine – God has given us lots of challenges, blessings and triumphs as we learn with our children on how to properly “Train up a child in the way HE should go.” We have had to learn how to train each child differently – and we are still learning every day!
